Teams face mental, physical and emotional challenges as they reaches the halfway point of the Race. As one team fights for the chance to stay in the Race, the other teams get a lesson in fighting. All leading to another shocking elimination!

Teams begin the Leg on The Ghan. Based on golf task from last Leg, Klea & Katrice, Paolo & Bubbles, Mike & John and Valeen & Chariz get the privilege of a helicopter ride through the Nitmiluk Gorge. But all teams must pay attention to answer a quiz on what they’ve learned during their helicopter or cruise experiences.

The results of that quiz determine the teams’ departure order in Darwin. And that makes all the difference with booking flights to Seoul, South Korea.

Before rushing to book tickets, teams cast their U-Turn votes. Betong & Maey, Shamcey & Lloyd and Paolo & Bubbles believe Olivia & Chandler are the toughest competitors so far with the sisters getting the most votes. The other votes are split, with Paolo & Bubbles, Betong & Maey and Andres & Atasha each getting two. Mike & John and Valeen & Chariz maintain their Kapuso alliance and vote for Andres & Atasha who again vote for Mike & John as the tension between the two teams continue. Olivia & Chandler and Nina & Calvin vote for Betong & Maey while Klea & Katrice and Inigo & Sebastian vote for Paolo & Bubbles, determining they are the stronger teams.

Betong & Maey, Paolo & Bubbles and Mike & John are able to get tickets on the flight arriving at Incheon at 5:45pm. That gives the three teams enough time to find the next clue at Bukchon Hanok Village to allow them to catch the final train to Geosan for the evening.

The three teams arrive in Geosan at 11:45pm and are able to begin the next morning at 8am upon opening of the General Store. The other teams all settle for the morning train arriving in Goosan at 9:10am.

With Betong & Maey and Paolo & Bubbles needing to complete both Detours, Mike & John gain a lot of hope to place first this Leg as they build a 50-minute lead out of the Detour. Both Betong & Maey and Paolo & Bubbles are able to finish both Detours at least 40 minutes before the other teams.

Mike & John lose a bit of time at the Road Block while U-Turned Olivia & Chandler and Andres & Atasha begin to trail at the back of the pack.

Teams further lose some time while trying to find the corner store and then having to figure out the ice cream clue.

But it is the ssireum task that puts teams on almost an equal footing. No team is able to finish any part of the task on their first, second or even third attempts.

Paolo & Bubbles were able to close the gap with leaders Mike & John who end up struggling at the ssireum tasks. Mike & John’s hope to stay in the Race begin to fade when Paolo & Bubbles and then Inigo & Sebastian are able to leave the ssireum task first.

Mike & John are able to get the thumbs up in third, just 5 minutes behind Inigo & Sebastian, but 25 minutes after Paolo & Bubbles. The best friends try to catch up and seem to have a shot when Polo & Bubbles and Inigo & Sebastian have trouble looking for Ran’s Coffe and the Pit Stop. But the two sibling teams manage to check-in as Teams #1 and #2, respectively.

Mike & John arrive at the Mat in third, but because they did not check-in as Team #1, they are automatically eliminated from the Race.

Meanwhile, Betong & Maey depart the ssireum task in 4th, but Olivia & Chandler who are close behind manage to pass them on the way to the Mat. The sisters officially check-in as Team #3 with Betong & Maey finishing as Team #4.

After Valeen & Chariz and Nina & Calvin depart the ssireum task, Andres & Atasha decide to use their Express Pass after having hesitated to do so. Klea & Katrice and Shamcey & Lloyd end up getting the thumbs up on their ssireum moves just minutes after.

It’s a foot race to Ran’s Coffe and Shamcey & Lloyd, Nina & Calvin, Klea & Katrice and Andres & Atasha struggle to find it. That allows Valeen & Chariz to check-in at the Pit Stop as Team #5.

Shamcey & Lloyd, who had left the ssireum in last, manage to step on the Mat in 6th. Nina & Calvin take 7th with Klea & Katrice right behind them in 8th. That means Andres & Atasha are last and eliminated.
