“Twist Ya” by Moon Jongup
Was very excited about Moon Jongup’s new album. And of course, he did not disappoint! I definitely loved the moody pre-release track “Love Bomber.” And title track “Twist Ya” is an equally awesome track with a bit of a different vibe. The synth-powered dance track is a mesmerizing journey through self-discovery. The sound (and accompanying music video) very much evoke the vibes of the seminal manga and anime Akira which is also featured in some of the concept photos for the album Peter.
Jongup self-produced the album and he presents a showcase for his story. All the tracks on the album each allow him a chance to express a part of his life story, past, present and future. It’s hard to pick a favorite when all seven tracks are so good. It’s definitely an album that needs to be experienced all the way through.
