I always have a hard time following releases from Japan. But let’s catch up with some new releases from JO1, INI and OWV with tracks you can add to your Trick or Treating playlist tonight!
“Where Do We Go” by JO1
“Icy” by JO1
JO1’s “Where Do We Go” is a great, funky pop track that allows the group to deliver a confident performance, perfectly depicting the song’s lyrics. The rest of the songs on the album are also great. I particularly like “Icy,” which they have released a performance video for. But I really love “Believe in You”. JO1 has released some great ballads. And this is another one.
“WMDA (Where My Drums At)” by INI
I’m also happy to see fresh music from INI. “WMDA (Where My Drums At)” is an impactful track from the group. It’s a song you can enjoy and easily get into on first listen. And their charisma shines through in the MV and their performance.
“Frontier” by OWV
I always enjoy music from OWV. And they return with another great track in “Frontier”. OWV is a very versatile group. And this pop-rock track is right in line with many of their previous releases. A catchy and charismatic performance! Their album has two other tracks (along with instrumentals for all three). “TRVCKSTVR” is a solid hip-hop dance track. But the soaring pop-rock ballad “Abyss” might be my favorite track.
