There is no relief from the heat of the Race for the teams in Coober Pedy, Australia. The first activated U-Turn of the Race rubs a few teams the wrong way. But physical tasks and stunning landscapes all lead to arguably the wildest and closest Race to a TARPHDME Pit Stop ever!

Teams resume racing upon arrival in Coober Pedy. Andres & Atasha struggle with directions right at the start, moving them to the back of the pack. Some teams correctly determine the Above side of the Detour would be the quicker task to complete. Klea & Katrice and Scottie & Jinky are forced to perform the Below Detour when all slots at the Above side are taken.

Betong & Maey and Andres & Atasha find the Express Pass in the pile and underground, respectively. But even more shocking is that first activated U-Turn of the Race. Fearing they will fall further behind, Andres & Atasha decide to U-Turn Mike & John. Not wanting to U-Turn their fellow Kapuso Klea & Katrice, Mike & John decide to U-Turn Scottie & Jinky.

While Mike & John and Scottie & Jinky are now as much as 30-40 minutes behind the other teams, they manage to make up some of that time at the Power Station as they speed through the task.

Olivia & Chandler, who had fallen to 5th at the Detour also make up some time at the solar panels.

Valeen & Chariz, Andres & Atasha and Nina & Calvin are the only teams who choose to do the arts task first. But that choice loses them some time when they have difficulty finding the furniture pick-up point.

Paolo & Bubbles, Olivia & Chandler. Betong & Maey and Inigo & Sebastian maintain a lead going from the dugout delivery to the arts task.

But teams run into big trouble navigating through the stunning landscape of The Breakaways. Some teams struggle finding the location of the cluebox along the long Dingo Fence.

Olivia & Chandler, Betong & Maey, Paolo & Bubbles, Andres & Atasha and Inigo & Sebastian are the first teams to find the Dingo Fence clue. But with the vast expanse of the terrain, they end up following each other until they run into Mike & John and Scottie & Jinky whom they, for some reason, start to follow as well. That is not knowing that neither team had yet found the Dingo Fence Route Marker.

While that caravan continues to drive aimlessly through the desert, it allows Valeen & Chariz and Nina & Calvin to move into the front when they manage to find the Dingo Fence and then have better luck finding the Pit Stop. Valeen & Chariz score their first win of the Race while Nina & Calvin return to a podium position after running in the back the last two Legs.

Previous leaders Olivia & Chandler, Paolo & Bubbles and Betong & Maey are the first to realize they were driving back to the Dingo Fence and they are the first teams to separate from the caravan. They end up finishing 3rd through 5th.

The remaining six teams end up catching up to each other after the Dingo Fence. And it is now a Race to the Pit Stop with all teams following each other into a caravan once again. Inigo & Sebastian end up taking the lead with the others right behind.

All six teams end up arriving at Two Dogs at the same time. And it is now a long and tense footrace to the Mat. The last six teams finish within 30 seconds of each other with Inigo & Sebastian, Klea & Katrice, Andres & Atasha, U-Turned Mike & John and Shamcey & Lloyd escaping elimination. That means Scottie & Jinky, who had been able to overcome their U-Turn and catch up just a few Route Markers earlier are last and eliminated.
