Teams scrambled to find the best flight to Bangkok from Singapore with some, such as Betong & Maey, Paulo & Miguel, Valeen & Chariz unable to secure the earliest potential arrival.
The evening search of Siam Square played a role in teams securing tickets to Chiang Mai with Betong & Maey able to score tickets on the first flight. Olivia & Chandler, Andres & Atasha and Scottie & Jinky manage to get on the second best flight. Inigo & Sebastian, Paolo & Bubbles and Bernadette & Icee, however, have to settle for the last flight arriving more than two hours after the first.
Teams maintain their positioning through the Road Block. But the Roundabout is what really throws teams for a loop. Teams who initially choose to complete the dok mai chan task gain the best time advantage as teams who chose to do the elephant task first have trouble afterwards making their way to the temple, costing them precious time.
Betong & Maey maintain their lead through the Detour, choosing the Fields side which ends up being the quicker choice. They score their first Leg win of the Race. Valeen & Chariz lose time at the Detour with the dance, allowing Olivia & Chandler and Shamcey & Lloyd to step on the Mat as Teams 2 and 3, respectively. The best friends have to settle for 4th.
Scottie & Jinky, Paolo & Bubbles and Andres & Atasha finish 5th through 7th. Nina & Calvin make up time and check-in as Team #8.
Paulo & Miguel, who arrived at the village in 11th manage to finish the Detour in 9th and finish in that spot at the Mat.
With Klea & Katrice struggling with the dance side of the Detour, it turns into a four-team Race to avoid the first elimination of the Race. Though Mike & John leave the village last, they are able to reach the Pit Stop as Team #11 after Inigo & Sebastian who claim 10th.
It comes down to Klea & Katrice and Bernadette & Icee. But the mother and daughter, who had been behind most of the day, are unable to make up the precious minutes and get to the Pit Stop just five minute behind the dating couple. That means they are officially the first eliminated team of the season.
