Though Taiya tries to get some work done, he can’t help but think about Genba. BunBun knows Boonboom Safari and Marine are also worried about him.
Taiya asks if he was in Genba’s position, would BunBun have been able to stop him? BunBun says probably not. That’s why, Taiya says, Genba must be the one to come to grips with his own anger.
Taiya asks BunBun to keep working on the new weapon while he heads out.
Meanwhile, Mira and Jou call Genba to deliver their feelings directly to him and try to get him to come back. Mira offers to do anything she can to help him, including to act as a decoy. Jou says he respects Genba. He is strong and kind and has the power to help so many people, so he should not waste it only on revenge.
Genba asks them not to call him anymore.
After hanging up, Genba opens a new lollipop to return him to his human form.
On the other side of town, Taiya visits Naito-san and apologizes for allowing the delivery to fall into the wrong hands. Naito-san says not to worry about such things in the past and to just look toward the future.
Anyway, Naito-san has a delivery for Taiya. Taiya has been investing his money to build homes for people in need all over the world. And these drawings of the Boonbooms are from the children he’s helped.
Taiya says he couldn’t have done it without Naito-san’s foundation. But Naito-san says he will not accept Taiya sharing the credit with him. He would like to tell the children that the gifts are from the Boonboomgers.
Taiya says his dreams would have stayed just that if he hadn’t met Naito-san. Taiya thanks him and will cherish these pictures.
Meanwhile, Sakito and Byundi find Genba on a rooftop. They want him to hire them since they are familiar with and have a beef with Disrace for avoiding paying them for their services.
Genba asks them to leave and says Disrace is his enemy. No one else can take a crack at him.
Sakito understands and says to call them if he changes his mind. Byundi says he won’t tell Taiya they met since they are space brothers.
Meanwhile, Jou is asked to look into reports of a strange pararira sound around a neighborhood. Mira joins him as they head over. She can’t help but think about Genba and how he’d be a big help on this case. Jou says to just focus on what they can do by themselves for now.
The pararira sound turns out to be MadRex’s dog. Disrace leads the General3 to find him and take him back to their hideout. Disrace places the dog onto the carpet from the other day. Suddenly, the carpet unloads all the gassholin into the dog, manifesting MadRex!
Disrace declares MadRex is born again, now as MadRex Fury. The General3 notice this is a very different MadRex.
Disrace says he has doubled the power in Ittasha’s ignition key, making the Kurumajus much more powerful now. She quickly keys in a neon sign.
Later, they open a new restaurant to lure unsuspecting people in. Once the people are all seated, Ittasha unleashes Neon Guruma to scare them all with fire, producing plenty of gassholin. Yaruka and Dekotorade are impressed with this plan. Reel humans in and collect their gassholin-producing screams in the confined space.
Disrace says the new Kurumajus allow for the gassholin to be delivered directly to the highway and straight to the big bosses in space. A much more efficient process.
Mira and Jou see the tower of gassholin being funneled into the highway and they quickly call the others downtown.
Taiya, Shashiro, Mira, Jou and Sakito meet up, but are shocked when MadRex Fury shows himself to them. They recognize the dog and realize it has been alive this whole time. Sakito has no idea what they’re talking about.
The Boonbooms quickly henshin, but Taiya tells them to leave MadRex to him. They hurry over to the gassholin tower.
Taiya is taken aback when MadRex Fury has no idea who he is. They battle.
The others arrive at the restaurant and battle Nejirettas. Jou makes his way inside and shoots at Neon Guruma, freeing the people and ushering them to safety.
Neon Guruma is annoyed that the efficient plan has been ruined. Not only were they going to be able to collect gassholin from the customers trapped in the restaurant until they died, they were also going to collect gassholin from their loved ones waiting at home.
This enrages Jou so much. He will not tolerate a Hashiryan who plays with people’s hearts.
Neon Guruma takes the four Boonbooms into a dark space where his neon colors shine and they battle.
Neon Guruma knocks Jou back and then flashes a bright light, blinding Shashiro, Mira and Sakito long enough to tie them up in LED light stings. Jou pushes himself to get up, but Neon Guruma forces him to dehenshin.
The other three say this would be the perfect time for Genba to have appeared. Jou says he may not be able to replace Genba. But until he comes back to them, he will fight Genba’s share.
Jou gets up and runs toward the Kurumaju. Neon Guruma shoots as Jou henshins and is able to repel the Kurumaju’s attack. Jou gains the upper hand and delivers a Boonboom Axe Drive finisher to finish him off.
After they return to the real world, Yaruka embiggens Neon Guruma. Jou, Shashiro and Mira hop into Boonboomger Robo Police. Neon Guruma turns day into night and they battle. Though they initially have trouble with Neon Guruma’s Dotonbori power, they deliver a Bakuage Magnum Boonboom Crash finisher to take care of Neon Guruma for good.
Jou tells Genba that he will continue to do his best.
Watching the battles, an annoyed Disrace tells MadRex Fury to fall back. MadRex leaves Taiya.
Taiya dehenshins and Genba watches him from around the corner. Taiya senses someone there, but Genba has already left.
Meanwhile, Shashiro is in a garage approaching a van. The window opens and inside is Director Tokoyari. “This will be the second time I’ve availed of your services,” he tells Shashiro.
Episode Thoughts
Hello?!?!?! Lol What exciting and dramatic developments! I love it!
I’ll repeat it all the time. When a good, strong foundation is laid, all the big twists and turns will be able to have as strong an impact as they can. The show can do anything with the characters and the story and you know it will have a strong basis to back them up.
That is very much the case again with this episode.
I think my favorite episode this season so far is the Shashiro-focused Episode 14. So now possibly getting to learn a lot more about his past and character has me very excited for next week.
Meanwhile, the episode also fleshed out a bit more of Taiya’s past, especially with Mr. Naito. We got a bit of detail about Sakito and Byundi’s past work with the Hashiryans. They gave us wonderful scenes of Mira and especially Jou being their kind and compassionate selves.
And of course, we got to see more of Genba’s emotional struggles. We know he cares about his friends. And that’s why he wants to keep them away from any potential danger in his quest for revenge. I am looking forward to the moment the Boonbooms come back together.
But! If we see Shashiro working the director also causing another rift within the Boonbooms while Genba is still away, I think that would be really great too. It would make the Boonbooms reuniting be all the more exciting and meaningful!
Meanwhile, MadRex’s pseudo-resurrection is very interesting! I’m looking forward to seeing the effect on the General3. And if he’s here to stay. Perhaps he can be this season’s version of Goseiger‘s Bajira! I totally forgot about MadRex’s dog lol So it was a surprise to see MadRex return in this way. But a good surprise!
Especially as it continues this trend of having each new commander be more dangerous and menacing than the previous one. Like Cannonborg vs MadRex and now Disrace vs Cannonborg.
What’s been great too is how the stories of each of our Boonbooms are helping to build up the antagonists’ resumes. Whether the Hashiryans or the ISA with the director. Having that personal connection will help to make any endgame all the more relevant and worthwhile.
Also! I loved that they edited the opening credits. Temporarily removing Genba as Bun Orange and moving a few things around. Very nice how the opening and ending credits have been very dynamic this season! I definitely do not skip the opening or ending credits this year!
And I loved the Dotonbori-inspired design of Neon Guruma. I’m working on TARPHDME24 with *spoileralert* Osaka as a location for the Leg. So I’ve been looking up a lot on Dotonbori, so it was fun to see here on this episode.
So overall, a great episode to follow last week’s. And definitely looking to build up to hopefully something really big coming soon!

Really loving this season.
It’s really wonderful!
I think this is the most attractive cast of Sentai or Kamen Rider in a long time. They are all so gorgeous!
A very good looking and talented cast!
