I originally had this scheduled to post last Saturday, but I had to move it a few days. That doesn’t take away from the great summer vibes that MCND, HORI7ON, KARD and &TEAM offer with these tracks! Check them out!
“ADDD” by MCND
MCND releases special summer single ADDD with the title track of the same name. The addictive track is a fun and energetic song with the group effortlessly expressing the cheerful lyrics.
Here is one of their live performances from the weekend:
“Tell My Momma” by KARD
I’ll admit I haven’t been much of a fan of KARD’s recent releases. But “Tell My Momma” is definitely my speed. The midtempo R&B track is such a refreshing song from the talented group. And the catchy, playful lyrics add to the great vibes. From the albu Where To Now (Part.1 Yellow Light), I also enjoy the opener “Waste My Time”.
“Sumayaw Sumunod” by HORI7ON
When I saw the title of HORI7ON’s newest track, I was really surprised. I initially thought they were releasing a special track in the Philippines only. But nope! “Sumayaw Sumunod” samples the classic Manila Sound OPM song of the same name for a fresh new K-pop track. Mixing Tagalog, Korean and English into this bright and catchy track, I think, is kind of a big gamble for the group. At least for the Korean market. But as a Filipino-American K-poop fan, this is wonderful! It’s easy to get up and dance as the song invites. Catchy melody, fun lyrics and the group’s youthful and energetic performance. What a pleasant surprise!
A nice Tagalog version too:
“Imprinted” by &TEAM
I’ve enjoyed &TEAM’s releases the last couple of months. And one of those songs is “Imprinted” from their latest release. The midtempo pop track has sweet lyrics from the POV of a boy expressing his feelings to the one he loves. And it has great summer vibes, similar to their recent title tracks.
