South Korea, the Philippines and Japan! Check out new music from BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON, Catch the Young, Press Hit Play and OWV!
“Gone” by BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON
Hello new guaranteed entry onto my year-end favorites list! It’s great to have B.A.P back after six and a half years. Though because of legalities, they are technically back as BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON (or in Korean, BANGYONGGUK&JUNGDAEHYUN&YOOYOUNGJAE&MOONJONGUP). The four members (minus Zelo who is serving in the military) make their long-awaited and much-welcomed comeback with the album Curtain Call and the excellent title track “Gone”. The nostalgic pop-rock track is such an easy and feel-good listen. Though the group is best known for their powerful performances, their excellent vocal talents are highlighted here. And they are able to perfectly express the emotional lyrics. Really love this track.
The rest of the album is strong as well with tracks that are of a similar vibe and sentiment as well.
“Dream It” by Catch the Young
I have really enjoyed listening to rookie band Catch the Young since discovering their music a couple of months ago. And they return with a new single “Dream It”. The synth-infused track is an energetic and rhythmic track that also has a similarly nostalgic and hopeful message. If you haven’t yet, definitely check out this talented band!
“Lampara” by Press Hit Play
Always nice to get some fresh music from Press Hit Play. And their latest “Lampara” might be my favorite of theirs in a while. The sweet pop track is a wonderful love letter to that meaningful person in your life. And the four members deliver a great performance with their vocals also taking center stage as well. Just a song as bright as the title itself!
“Sleepless Town” by OWV
Japanese pop group OWV release their latest track “Sleepless Town”. The group has shown off their strong versatility with every release. And they do so again with “Sleepless Town,” a pop-dance track with some great infusion of traditional sounds that make for an energetic, charismatic and attention-grabbing experience.
