A goodbye-for-now track from U-KISS and charm and charisma from OWV, MEGAMAX and ITZY.
“Be Good” by U-KISS
U-KISS releases their final Japanese single containing the title track “Be Good” and “Lover Song.” The three remaining members Soohyun, Hoon and Jun wrap up their activities as U-KISS with this heartfelt track of encouragement and moving forward. It’s been a long journey for the group. And the time has come for them to pursue other paths in their careers. Best of luck to them!
“Chaser” by OWV
After releasing a fresh summer track, OWV is back with a darker and more charismatic image with “Chaser.” The group is confident with this hip hop-infused dance track about ignoring the negativity and leading the way forward. “Chaser” is the title track of their first album that will be released in October.
“Painted÷LOVE” by MEGAMAX
Rookie group MEGAMAX made their debut earlier this month with the title track “Painted÷LOVE.” The midtempo dance track has the group singing of a bittersweet first love. And it is a refreshing introduction to them along with the rest of the album featuring strong, bright pop songs.
“Loco” by ITZY
“Swipe” by ITZY
I wasn’t a fan of ITZY’s last comeback and their latest “LOCO” isn’t immediately grabbing my attention. But I do like it a little more than “Mafia.” Regardless of the song though, ITZY never disappoints with their powerful performance. And that’s definitely the case again here. Meanwhile, “Swipe” is a cheeky track playing on the effects of social media apps on relationships.
