The final five teams Raced hard to secure a spot in the Penultimate Leg as they traveled to Guatemala.
Teams were already challenged on the first task in Guatemala City as Jervi & Luke and Gee & Archie fell almost an hour behind the leading three teams. But traveling from Guatemala City to Santiago Sacatepequez proved to be even more difficult, allowing the trailing teams to catch up to within minutes of the others.
Teams would remain neck and neck going into the Road Block which proved to be more physical than any of the teams expected.
Moving onto the Detour, Troy & KC were the only team to initially choose the Marimba side with the other four teams deciding to work on the Alfombras. But the teams were shocked to discover the All U-Turn was activated. And the other four teams struggled mightily on the marimba performance. Lucky for them, unlucky for Troy & KC, the brothers had to redo their entire section after using the incorrect colors.
The teams continued to stick close together, even having their Holy Week processions making their way through the historical Antigua side-by-side.
Troy & KC would maintain their small lead throughout the Leg and claimed their third Leg win in a row. That left the other four teams in a footrace to the Mat with all exhausted from the long day and getting lost along the way. And it would be fan favorite Janice & Inah finishing last, only six minutes behind 2nd place Gee & Archie and two minutes behind 4th place Marco & Michele, resulting in their elimination.
