Boobay & Tekla scored their first win as a hybrid team and kept the Philippines on top. But the four remaining international All-Stars took the next spots and left the rest of the Filipino teams fighting it out to avoid elimination.
Teams secured their plane tickets via a travel agency in Mandalay with some teams able to score the earlier flights.
At the Intersection, teams were able to partner with their friends and competitors with whom they have loose alliances with. Mlee & Quoc Anh had to wait for teams on the second flight to arrive and they were lucky enough to partner with their loose alliance mates Rachel & Elissa.
Arthur & Rochelle and Martina & Phil left the Orlando Power Station in first place, but navigation troubles dropped them to 4th as they arrived at the U-Turn. Shocked at falling behind six other teams, the Intersected pair decided to U-Turn Megan & Mikael whom they were sure they passed, thus also U-Turning Kean & Chynna who arrived at the U-Turn just two minutes behind them.
Trailing teams were able to make up time at the Detour and all teams were able to catch up to each other at Baragwanath Market.
Teams experienced traffic troubles driving back from Baragwanath Market to Johannesburg. Rachel & Elissa, who departed from the market next to last, got out of their car to open up the roads for them to drive through. That allowed them to zoom past teams to arrive first at FNB Stadium, giving them a big enough cushion to result in their eventual 3rd place finish.
Kean & Chynna, who arrived last at FNB Stadium and after four teams already completed the task, decided to use the Express Pass. Kean opted to perform the Road Block and his music experience allowed him to quickly finish the task. But once again, navigation issues both while driving and while on foot led to them arriving at the Mat in last, securing their elimination.
