It was a breathlessly exciting 2nd Leg as teams continued Racing through Nepal.
First up, teams encountered the very first Forced Double U-Turn Vote Board. During the opening SuperLeg, Tom & Tyler’s reputation as one of the most dominant teams of all-time was a hot topic amongst the teams. That resulted in them receiving nine votes. The only team not voting for them was Megan & Mikael whom they formed an unofficial alliance with back in Nueva Ecija.
The teams also moved to target Danica & Ciara, the winner of the first Leg and Kean & Chynna, the most consistent team between the SuperLeg midpoint and Pit Stop. Both teams received 5 votes each.
Teams enjoyed the first task with the world renowned Kung Fu Nuns as well as helping with relief efforts.
But the competition heated back up during the Detour as several teams switched sides multiple times, especially with the three U-Turned teams catching up to the rest.
As three teams were U-Turned this Leg, the U-Turn or Yield WILL be activated on the next Leg.
Teams made their way onto four different flights to Lukla. And the higher altitude began to cause problems for some teams.
Team placements shuffled during the deliveries of the care boxes and the first come, first served nature of the helicopter further separated teams.
But the even higher altitude in Namche Bazaar proved difficult for many teams as teams searched for the best route to get themselves to the Mat. Team placements shuffled one last time for this Leg with teams struggling to find the Pit Stop. Rachel & Elissa scored their first ever Leg win after passing Mlee & Quoc Anh up the hill to the museum.
Megan & Mikael, who arrived in the 8th helicopter in Namche Bazaar, got lost and were exhausted. That resulted in them falling to last at the Mat, but were saved by the Non-Elimination.
