As Gai has riled up the crowd against Humagears, Isamu arrives demanding Gai give him answers. Gai says only if Isamu pledges loyalty to ZAIA by destroying Zero-One.
Aruto says Isamu would never do that. But suddenly, something from MetsubouJinrai.net takes over Isamu’s body and attacks Aruto. Working together, Gai and the possessed Isamu deliver finishers at Aruto, forcing him to dehenshin.
Later at ZAIA, Isamu regains his senses as Gai explains. The AI chips implanted into their brains are what allow them to become Kamen Riders. Yua doesn’t understand how that connects Isamu to MetsubouJinrai. But Gai says inside Isamu’s chip is the AI of MatsubouJinrai.net’s Naki.
Isamu and Yua are shocked. But Gai continues and points out that without Naki, Isamu wouldn’t have been able to use the Assault Wolf Key.
Gai says to be able to control the Ark, he needed Isamu be connected to someone related to it. Naki is a Humagear that helps produce weapons and a tool that follows his orders. And Isamu is the first test subject for this weapon.
Isamu charges at Gai, but Gai can send a signal to the chip which will allow Naki to take control of Isamu’s person.
Isamu tortures Isamu with the control. Yua tries to help Isamu who struggles in pain on the floor.
Gai says both Isamu and Yua were his tools from the beginning. And now it’s time Isamu follows his orders. Gai drops the Rampage Gatling in front of Isamu.
Outside, Yua says she had no idea about Naki. Isamu says he understands now how Yua could possibly follow such a person as horrible as Gai. Her brain must have been twisted as well, forcing her to live as a tool. Yua says she is not a tool though and that she is here of her own volition.
Isamu asks why she is working for ZAIA then. What does she want from all this? Yua just says she is not a tool.
With one week left until the referendum, Aruto and Izu continue to try and campaign to the public. Isamu watches as the people of Tokyo completely rebuff them. Some people even assaulting Izu.
The day of the referendum has come and gone and the results are clear: The rebuilding of Daybreak has been overwhelmingly voted down.
Gai happily accepts his win.
Next day as ZAIA buys up Hiden stock, VP Jun calls Aruto who isn’t at Hiden HQ. Aruto says he needs time to think. VP Jun says Aruto really didn’t have what it took to be president. But Aruto says he will continue to fight for the company and its employees.
Later that night, Isamu is shocked when he finds himself in an alley in the rain. It was actually Jin who brought him here by hacking him.
Jin says he is here to liberate Naki from Isamu’s body. But Horobi appears to stop him.
Horobi says this is not the Ark’s will. The Ark believes they must continue to allow Naki to use Isamu’s body as a vessel.
Isamu refuses to be used as anyone’s tool. But Naki tries to take over his body again. Isamu tries fighting back and remembers Aruto asking him about his dreams.
Naki emerges and proclaims to be a tool according to ZAIA’s will.
Gai enjoys some prime beef as he proclaims his victory in front of Aruto. Gai says all Humagears will be scrapped soon. Aruto says Humagears have hearts too, but Gai scoffs and says tools don’t have hearts.
Aruto kneels and bows, pleading for Gai not to kill Humagears. But Gai says Aruto has no power to make decisions any longer.
Aruto says they must find a way for humans and Humagears to live together. Gai calls Isamu in to kill Izu right here, right now.
Aruto shields Izu as a possessed Isamu walks in, pointing his blaster at her. But Isamu fights back. Yua tells him he must do it as Gai’s orders are absolute. A struggling Isamu asks Yua if she really believes that and if she really is okay being a mere tool.
Yua says she is not a tool. Gripping her pants, Yua says she follows the will of her president of her own freewill.
Yua henshins to Fighting Jackal. But Aruto henshins to Metal Cluster Hopper. He takes Izu outside, but has to fight against both Yua and Gai to protect her.
Isamu stumbles outside and aims his blaster at Gai. But Naki emerges again and instead points at Izu. Aruto tells Izu to run, but Yua slaps her down.
Isamu approaches Izu and Gai gleefully cheers on his two tools.
But Isamu is able to regain control of his body and blocks Yua’s attempted finisher at Izu.
Isamu says his eyes are open now. There’s no point in destroying Humagears. He’s never thought of what his dream was before. But as he finds what his dream will be, he will always stay true to himself.
Isamu whips out the new Key and locks it in.
Isamu walks toward Yua.
And he completes his henshin to Rampage Gatling.
Aruto takes Izu to safety. Isamu asks Yua what her dream is and what she thinks her future is as a ZAIA slave.
Yua has no answer as she tries fighting Isamu. Gai hurries over and says tools don’t have free will.
Isamu easily shows Gai exactly what free will looks like as he delivers finisher after finisher at him and Yua. Isamu says he will not accept Yua until he hears her talk about her real dream.
Both Yua and Gai give it all they’ve got. But they are no match for Isamu’s new power. With a Rampage All Blast, both Yua and Gai are slapped back and forced to dehenshin.
Gai declares that one day, Isamu will learn what it means to defy ZAIA. He stumbles away.
Aruto says no matter what, their dreams will never be broken.
Yua limps after her president.
They head to Hiden HQ and Gai officially takes over Aruto’s office. The takeover of Hiden is complete.
VP Jun and SVP Sanzo ask Aruto what he’s going to do now. The board recommended he voluntarily step down, but he isn’t forced to do so. VP Jun says he will stay at Hiden until the end. He has a responsibility to look over the company that was left to him by Grandpa Hiden.
Aruto bows and asks them to please take care of the company.
Aruto says he dream has not changed. No matter where he goes, he will fight for that dream.
WOWOWOWOWOW! That was an absolutely amazing episode. Obviously, when the opening credits don’t air, you know shit’s about to go down. And they definitely did not disappoint!
I mean, not a single slow moment in the episode. Not a single pun from Aruto. They were all business. And everything unfolded in such perfect fashion all leading up to that incredible shot at the end of Aruto walking away and the episode’s title popping up on the screen for the first time. “Our Dreams Won’t Be Broken”
Indeed sir! I cried. #MaGMCM
So much going on in this episode. And everything feeling so important to the story. The revelation of Naki. Yua’s mental health! Jin and Horobi’s dueling mandates. Aruto’s resolve. Saving Izu. Isamu’s absolute triumph.
And we definitely can’t forget that delicious scene of Gai stumbling away after getting his ass handed to him by Isamu using something of his own creation. Seriously, nothing but the total and complete humiliation of Gai will suffice as an endgame! lol
But this episode showed too that the whole job competition was merely to establish just how revolting Gai truly is. It’s really so stunning to see a character as horrible as Gai. (But horrible in a “good” way lol)
As Aruto continues to be the heart of the series, Isamu’s journey continues to be one worthy of a title hero. We of course know of his views of Humagears before. We know what his goal had been. And now we see how far he’s come. It really was a triumphant moment for him this episode. I’m not sure if this was the first time the theme song kicked in during the episode. But it was such a perfect moment for it. I always love it when either of Kamen Rider or Super Sentai use their theme songs for certain big moments. It gives those scenes a sort of iconic treatment and it absolutely worked here.
Ryutaro Okada absolutely knocked it out of the park as well!
I really need to learn Japanese. I would love to hear his commentary on the episode this week:
Yua slapping Izu to the ground was a big No No! Girl, whatchu doin?! She’s obviously struggling in her head. And I hope they give her some meaty material to work with there.
Overall, I absolutely loved this episode. They’ve wrapped up this ZAIA arc perfectly and now we’re moving on to the next one. Zero-One has definitely been running on all cylinders! And I am absolutely enjoying it.

Oh, boy… So much emotions here…
I really thought Aruto will win. I truly cheered him to the end. I hope he will do everything to save his reputation.
That scene with Jin, Horobi and Isamu was very interesting. Isamu starts to really change 🙂
Wonder what Yua is thinking. Does she really have her own dream too? I’m sure, she does 🙂
And know we have to wait for next chapter 😉
Yeah, I definitely expected Aruto to win in the end. So it was a very surprising ending! Very exciting though to see what’s head!
