Waizuru is upset that he can’t get excited anymore since Pricious stole his heart. Kureon promises to create a Minosaur that can solve his problem.
Meanwhile, Melto oversees Koh, Asuna and Bamba’s training. Canalo is running late, but he can’t help but come to the rescue of a beautiful young lady. He catches her ice cream cone when it flies into the air and he tries to ask her out. But she says she has a boyfriend and takes the cone to him.
Canalo follows her and it turns out her “boyfriend” is Towa.
Koh, Melto, Asuna and Bamba hurry over to where Kureon has brought about a Minosaur. But the Minosaur has a super speed power that they cannot counter. Kureon whisks the Minosaur back to Waizuru.
Back home, Canalo tells the others about Towa’s girlfriend. Papa Naohisa says he’d choose a date over fighting as well.
Melto scolds Papa Naohisa and says Towa’s not taking his duty seriously. Koh thinks Towa must have a good reason and Canalo believes finding a wife is most important indeed.
Up on a rooftop, Waizuru and Kureon approach Pricious. They unleash the Minosaur to try and swipe Waizuru’s heart card back. But the card the Minosaur ends up swiping does not have it. Pricious says it won’t be that easy. If Waizuru really wants it back, he must defeat the Ryusoulgers.
Towa sits with the girl, Saki, and says he really has to see to his duty right now. Saki asks what Towa will do after he fulfills his duty and says wouldn’t things be more difficult once he does?
Towa doesn’t understand what she means. But before he can ask her to elaborate, she pops up to buy some drinks for them.
Koh arrives and Towa tells him the story. While he was training this morning, Saki approached him to ask if he can be her bodyguard today. Towa really didn’t have a choice as Saki took his RyuSoul and won’t give it back.
Saki said bad guys were after her, but Towa hasn’t seen anyone since they’ve met. Anyway, if a Minosaur appears, he’ll force Saki to give him his RyuSoul. But until then, he wants to hear Saki out for now.
Before Koh leaves, Towa asks what he plans on doing after they’ve defeated the Druidons. Koh says he wants to travel the world and experience new things.
Meanwhile, Saki decides she doesn’t want to drag Towa into her problems.
Back home, Koh tells the others about Towa’s situation. Ui recognizes the name and tells everyone Saki is an up and coming popular racer with international attention. But she hasn’t been doing too well recently.
Papa Naohisa says Saki has been getting lots of hate comments for her lack of success lately. He relates his own experience with bullying, but Bamba calls after Waizuru appears to him.
They hurry out to help Bamba against Waizuru, But Kureon appears with some Drunns and the speedy Minosaur. This time, Kureon hands the Minosaur a weapon so it can now attack while speeding around.
As the Ryusoulgers deal with the Minosaur, Kureon goes to drive the birther even more into despair. Turns out the birther is Saki. Towa finds them just as Kureon grabs his RyuSoul.
Kureon summons some Drunns and Towa tries fighting them off. Kureon threatens to kill Saki if Towa doesn’t calm down. He hesitates and that gives the Drunns an opening to gang up on him.
Kureon continues his plan to drive Saki to despair. He says Saki ran away because she was afraid of the expectations put on her. Saki agrees and says the expectations of her were too great and everyone ended up hating her. She feels that if she can’t be a winner, she might as well die.
That bit of despair feeds the Minosaur, allowing it to finally embiggen despite Koh going Max.
Towa manages to be free of the Drunns and tells Saki she doesn’t need to meet anyone’s expectations but her own. Towa says he will do what he has to even if he doesn’t get acknowledgment and praise.
Towa declares that he will never give up. He whips out OmoSoul which makes Kureon drop the RyuSoul. Saki then jumps on it and keeps Kureon from grabbing it again.
Kureon kicks Saki so she’ll release the RyuSoul. But Towa hurries over and kicks Kureon off her. Saki hands Towa his RyuSoul and he henshins.
Towa takes care of the Drunns before turning his attention to Kureon who quickly slimes away. Pteradon arrives to pick-up Towa and drop him off where the others are.
Koh, Canalo and Towa hop into King KishiryuOh to finish off the Minosaur for good.
Later, Saki apologizes to Towa for involving him in her mess. But she now feels she shouldn’t give up anymore. She is willing to go abroad for racing now and it’s thanks to Towa. She won’t care about what anyone else thinks. She will do what makes her happy.
Saki asks Towa for a favor though. She hopes they can meet again when she returns to Japan. Towa says sure and encourages her to do her best. Saki hugs him.
Back home, Towa asks the others what they want to do when the show is over. Asuna wants to eat good food. Canalo wants to get married.
But Bamba and Melto both say their focus right now should be on how to defeat the Druidons. Otherwise there will no future for anyone, let alone them.
This was an interesting episode. I’m not too sure where Towa’s feelings of “What to do after the show is over?” is something that’s even been hinted at before. (Especially considering Towa and Bamba are usually off roaming around by themselves.) But the episode’s plot worked well enough.
We’re back to victims of the week/birthers who have suicidal thoughts. But I think it was handled well here. Saki felt inadequate, pressured. It’s actually very timely considering the recent tragic deaths in Korean entertainment. But Towa was able to encourage her and teach her that Saki need not be overly concerned about what other people think or that she must look for other people’s praise and approval. That is definitely a good lesson not only for the kids watching the show, but for anyone really. Especially in today’s society.
I enjoyed the double entendres of Waizuru and Kureon and Pricious regarding Waizuru’s excitement and thrill. lol And I hope the show can do even more with Waizuru vs. Pricious as I think they can have some great story with that conflict angle.
Some great drone shots during Towa’s battle with the Drunns too.
Overall, a solid episode.
