Sougo declares that he and Oma Zi-O will settle this now, but he is unable to. Sougo is forced to dehenshin, even out of Grand Zi-O.
Oma Zi-O says it is because Sougo has not obtained the Drive Watch yet. Woz arrives and whisks Sougo to safety. Oma Zi-O commends Woz for making a good decision. Woz kneels at Oma Zi-O’s feet.
Suddenly, Oma Zi-O senses someone has changed the flow of time.
Sougo wakes up in front of a castle in the forest where a monument dedicated to Heisei Riders stands, only the king is Hiryu!
Sougo walks back into the city which he finds is in ruins and in the midst of a civil war. He is confused when he sees he is in 2019. Tsukasa watches him from the shadows.
Sougo heads back to Kujigoji and finds it has become a refuge for resistance fighters. Uncle Junichiro tries attacking him with a daikon, not knowing who Sougo is.
Tsukuyomi comes on over the radio to report that Another Riders have been spotted. Sougo hurries over to the location.
Geiz and Tsukuyomi arrive first. Geiz, already henshined, takes on Another OOO while Tsukuyomi engages Another Agito. Sougo kicks Another Agito and makes sure Tsukuyomi is okay. But Tsukuyomi has no idea who he is.
Tsukuyomi freezes time to save Sougo from getting attacked. Geiz tells him to hurry and run. But Sougo instead henshins to Zi-O II. Geiz and Tsukuyomi are shocked.
As Geiz takes care of Another OOO, Sougo finishes off Another Agito. Geiz and Tsukuyomi shoot at him and Geiz vows to kill Zi-O right here. Geiz goes Revive and proceeds to force Sougo to dehenshin.
Sougo tries to get them to remember him. But it’s no use. Geiz slices at Sougo’s arm, but Heure freezes time before Geiz can finish Sougo off. Heure tells Sougo he better run off to safety while he can.
Sougo stumbles out of the warehouse before Heure unfreezes time. Heure rejoins Schwartz and Ora on a rooftop overlooking war torn-Tokyo. This whole time reset was Schwartz’s doing in an effort to counter Sougo having obtained such a major major power. Schwartz orders Ora to take care of the new king. Before she leaves, she tells Schwartz that she’s getting annoyed by his bossing her around.
Back at the shop, Tsukuyomi fills Uncle Junichiro in on the strange boy (Sougo) and what happened. Tsukuyomi wonders how Sougo could be the demon king when he did defeat the Another Rider. Geiz says it could all be a trick to fool them since Oma Zi-O has no problem killing his own minions. Geiz thinks they have all the proof they need to confirm Sougo is Oma Zi-O and he vows to kill him next time they meet.
Woz approaches Sougo who tells him they must figure out what is happening. Sougo tells Woz about the Hiryu statue. Ora appears and Woz introduces Sougo to his new overlord demon king.
Hiryu says hello. Woz says he serves this new king as Sougo’s future as Oma Zi-O is gone from his book.
Hiryu says he is doing all this to pay Sougo back for the humiliation he experienced back when he was defeated as Another Zi-O.
Hiryu punches Sougo into the dirty fountain water and henshins to Another Zi-O II. Sougo henshins to Grand Zi-O, but Hiryu summons Another Agito, Gaim and Den-O to take him on.
Sougo is able to defeat the Anothers with the powers of the originals. But Hiryu turns back time and rewrites history, immediately resurrecting the Anothers. Sougo again defeats the three Anothers, but Hiryu again rewrites history.
Tsukasa shoots a machine gun at Hiryu and the Anothers, allowing Sougo to run off with him. They run into a nearby parking garage to hide.
Tsukasa wonders where the enthusiastic Sougo who wanted to be king has gone. He thinks this current Sougo is pathetic. Sougo is distraught at Geiz and Tsukuyomi having forgotten him and Woz serving a new king. He wonders if this is because he was unable to defeat Oma Zi-O.
Tsukasa says he doesn’t know. But he does know that this world has begun to crumble. And if Sougo wants to stop it, he must defeat Hiryu. Sougo doesn’t think he can without Geiz and Tsukuyomi.
But Tsukasa says Geiz and Tsukuyomi only appeared because Sougo wanted to become king. Not the other way around. Tsukasa wonders if Sougo has given up his royal ambitions.
The Anothers appear and Sougo henshins to Grand to finish them off. Again. Tsukasa is slightly impressed. But Geiz arrives.
Geiz henshins and vows to end Sougo.
Episode Thoughts
Hmm. I wonder what this arc is supposed to accomplish. It’s certainly a very interesting story to do now at Episode 41 and 42. The preview teased Schwartz’s “true plan” as well as Tsukuyomi finding out she’s a little sister.
But in terms of Sougo’s character development, we have him lamenting the loss of his friends. And him essentially feeling helpless without them. Tsukasa, of course, tries to get him to think he can do it alone. But I think we’ve reached a point where it’s been accepted Sougo, Geiz and Tsukuyomi are our Three Musketeers and that they’d ride and die together. So it’s certainly a major blow to Sougo to lose Geiz and Tsukuyomi like this. But what will his next move be?
Obviously, we’ll get back to the original “timeline” after this arc. But what will have changed in Sougo or reinforced for Sougo moving towards the endgame?
We’ll have to wait and see! hehe
This episode though reminded me that we still don’t know the circumstances surrounding Woz’s defecting from the Resistance and becoming a traitor. I will assume that’s being saved for the last episodes as obviously he plays a bigger role than just being one of the gang, I think.
I very much enjoyed seeing Hiryu again, but I’m also kind of disappointed that we might not really get any satisfying conclusion to his and Sougo’s story. Hiryu seems to be basically just a pawn for Schwartz and that means Hiryu likely being easily cast aside next week. Especially if the main attraction if Tsukuyomi finding out she has a big brother.
Anyway, I’m happy to see Daiki back next week! I wonder if he and Tsukasa will be sharing some screentime. Hehe.
Overall, knowing this “alternate timeline” is just a two-episode arc, I’m more anxious to see what the effects will be from this detour. I assume, other than learning Schwartz’s endgame, we’ll get a change in Sougo as well.

To be honest, I was scared a little. Woz serving Oma ZI-O that moment incommode me. When Uncle Junichiro attacked Sougo with turnip, I wanted to cry. And when Geiz and Tsukuyomi attacked Sougo, that was really terrible! 😮 ;(
And to make it worse, Hiryu is back! Doesn’t he have enough!? I thought Sougo explained him everything LOL
But interesting, Tsukasa decided to help our ZI-O. I read some info about “Decade” and I know Tsukasa after meeting with Double became look-out man. Now, Daiki is back next time. I wonder what is this thief planning now? Well, we can see this soon!
Yeah, a very interesting like alternate world for Sougo. We’ll see where it leads.
