Episode Thoughts

A lot to love about this episode. Most especially Yuko. Already such an awesome character with clear motivation. Sougo having a crush on her is probably the least interesting part about her character and story lol But we’ll see how that all connects together. And any reason to bring back youngSougo is good.

I really enjoyed how this episode felt very dramatic and serious. The first scene between Yuko and Tetsuya already set the tone. It even had the little Zi-O logo in the upper left corner to make sure that yes, this really is Kamen Rider Zi-O and not some legal drama lol

I assume it harkens back to the style and vibe of Kiva itself. Again, I don’t know much about Kiva and my only exposure to it is the Kiva arc on Decade and little Prince Wataru. But obviously that’s very different lol

But the episode really had a very nice vibe and aura to it. Still having the usual comedic bits and gags, but overall definitely more serious. And the plot certainly fit that vibe.

Not sure how Ginga will play into the plot other than being a power-up. But we’ll see.

I liked seeing the back and forth between Yuko and Ora as well. I feel like they’re missing a great opportunity to have Ora (and Heure as well) have a genuine foe to truly go up against. So seeing Yuko belittling Ora and Ora being upset and just shocked to see someone go against her was fun.

Overall, a great and dramatic episode.

  1. I very like this episode, although Sougo, Geiz and Woz started to argue when they became Trinity. And I’ve got a strange premonition, that Yuko can play at Sougo’s expense LOL
    Anyway, very dramatic episode.
I wonder who is this Ginga and what does he want?
