Recap: Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, Episode 8 – Miraculous Singing Voice

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Episode 8

The Sisters explain that they have an Energy Core which gives the Druidons power. So if they can force the Energy Core down the Kishiryu’s throat, they can obtain enough power to defeat them.

They are able to sneak into the abandoned building where the sisters hid the magic stone. But Waizuru and Drunns have the place surrounded. The Ryusoulgers morph and take on the Drunns while the sisters retrieve the Core.

Waizuru says it’s time for the Ryusoulgers to die, but they attack back only to find out this Waizuru is just a Drunn in disguise.

The sisters come out with the Core and they head back home. Cardena is very eager to shove the thing down the Kishuryu’s throats and says the person the Minosaur was born out of will be in grave danger.

Melt and Bamba are very suspicious of the Cardena. But Ui remembers she and Koh concluding that Ippei Shimomura is whom the Minosaur was born out of. Papa Naohisa begins singing Shimomura’s lone hit song and Fita immediately covers her ears as if in pain. Cardena says her sister is allergic to bad singing.

Bamba says he and Towa will go look for Shimomura. Bamba assures Koh they are just going to try and find out more information and not kill him on the spot. Melt grabs both Asuna and Koh and says they should go as well.

Cardena asks What about the Kishiryu and the magic power stone? Melt says later.

Outside and safely away from the sisters, Bamba and Melt compare notes about their suspicions. They all realize there’s definitely something more to the sisters than meets the eye. Melt calls Ui back home and gets her to leave her phone on and for her to leave the room.

The Ryusoulgers listen in as the sisters can now speak freely. Turns out Waizuru has just disguised himself as Fita and is manipulating and blackmailing Cardena into getting her to kill the Kishiryu using the magic stone.

Koh says he will call Tyramigo, but Towa and Bamba remind him that Tyramigo will die if he swallows the tube. Koh says Tyramigo is important to him, but Fita and Cardena are all each other’s got. And they can’t let them die.

Melt, however, has a great idea.

Koh returns home with Tyramigo and allows Fita to stuff the stone tube into its mouth. Cardena tries to stop fauxFita, but Koh motions to her that it’s alright.

Later, Melt, Bamba and Ui watch Ippei Shimomura at a performance with only a couple people in the audience. Ui wonders how he could have so much energy left if he was the Minosaur birther. But Melt and Bamba both realize he isn’t their guy. Ippei Shimomura says he fainted earlier because he has a cold.

But Melt knows exactly who the birther could be.

The Minosaur has embiggened and close to being complete. The Ryusoulgers hop into KishiryuOh Five Knights. Suddenly, the stone capsule core begins to glow and tick down. Cardena tries to warn the Ryusoulgers, but it’s too late. Waizuru slaps her and the bomb explodes, seemingly killing the Ryusoulgers and the Kishiryu.

But actually, the Ryusoulgers are all perfectly fine and what blew up were just clones they made with FueSoul. Copying Waizuru’s decoy plan earlier.

Episode Thoughts

Hmm… it was just an okay episode. I guess the biggest development is that it appears Bamba is much more willing to work with the others now. If not fully accepting of them five as a team.

The episode itself though was just okay. A little predictable. And the continuing of conveniently pulling Souls out of nowhere kind of adds to how things can get predictable and a little boring. Where’s the excitement if you know the Ryusoulgers can just whip out any old Soul to solve their problems.

I do like that both Melt and Bamba seem to be the smart ones of the team and that they had good intuition and brains to be suspicious and figure things out.

One good thing though is that this episode focused on only the one story instead of the hundreds of stories [/exaggeration] they’ve tried to squeeze in with the other episodes so far.

But at the same time, there were a couple of scenes that felt like they dragged on too long. So maybe having a few different threads in an episode isn’t such a bad idea after all. Lol

Anyway! I dunno about this one. It was just okay. Nothing special. Not particularly exciting. Maybe the weakest episode of the season so far for me?

  1. Well, the one thing that knocked off my legs, was Asuna’s false singing XD
I can see, Melt and Bamba can be a harmonious duo, regarding many plans😉And, of course, Bamba became more trustful🙂
