Sougo thinks he should collect all the Watches like Oma Zi-O suggested in order to obtain enough power to be able to take on Oma Zi-O. They wonder how they will be able to collect the other Watches since they’ve really gotten the ones they have so far by accident. Woz says it’s not by accident, but Sougo’s destiny.
Uncle Junichiro hurries home and alerts them to the breaking news of a monster attack at the G3 Unit testing facility. They recognize the monster as Another Rider. Specifically, Kamen Rider Agito.
Shouichi Tsugami gets a text about the news and decides to immediately return to Japan.
Both Ora and Heure are becoming disenchanted by Schwartz’s strange actions. But Schwartz pops up behind them and warns them about Sougo collecting all the Watches. Heure says he really doesn’t care. But Schwartz has a plan.
Tsukuyomi leads Sougo, Geiz and Woz to the G3 Unit testing facility after researching that the Another Rider has repeatedly attacked the unit from in the inside.
Woz compliments Tsukuyomi for being very smart. That reminds Sougo about his curiosity regarding Tsukuyomi’s Resistance past. Woz steps in to explain that Tsukuyomi had amnesia when she first joined the Resistance.
Tsukuyomi says she doesn’t have any memories from before she was picked up by the Resistance, but that it’s not a problem. She doesn’t even know her real name.
They eventually stumble upon Another Agito attacking G3 officers. Tsukuyomi tells unit commander Takahiro Omuro to let them handle this as Sougo, Geiz and Woz henshin.
Another Agito, however, doesn’t seem interested in fighting them and instead focuses on chomping into the G3 officers. They watch in horror as the G3 officer just bitten turns into an Another Agito clone! That Another Agito bites into another G3 and he too becomes Another Agito.
Sougo, Geiz and Woz try to stop the Another Agitos from turning more G3.
Another Agito sets its sights on Takahiro. But Tsukuyomi shoves him out of the way. The Another Agito leaps at Tsukuyomi, but it suddenly freezes in mid-air.
Woz is taken aback, as is Schwartz who has been watching from afar.
The pause allows Woz to drive Another Agito away while the other two follow.
Back at the shop, they wonder why the Another Agitos only targeted the G3s. Sougo decides to Google where to find the real Agito and up pops Restaurant AgitΩ.
Sougo and Geiz decide to go check it out. Woz stays behind and questions Tsukuyomi about how she stopped time earlier.
Up on a rooftop, Heure and Ora talk about Schwartz’s strange plans. Heure suggests they help out to show Schwartz that he needs them. Schwartz, however, is intrigued by Tsukuyomi’s power.
Sougo and Geiz get to AgitΩ and head inside where they are greeted by Mana Kazaya. Sougo comes right out and asks if Kamen Rider Agito is here. Geiz tells him he can’t be asking it like that. Sougo then forcefully asks her where Agito is as well as telling her he will become king.
Mana asks if Sougo means Shouichi, but he’s actually out of the country right now. Sougo and Geiz leave.
Just then Shouichi calls Mana to tell her he has arrived in Tokyo after the message she sent him. Shouichi says he must help Takahiro if the G3 Unit is having trouble. Mana tells him about the strange king who just visited.
Sougo and Geiz run into Woz who tells them Shouichi has arrived in Japan and Another Agito is attacking again.
On the other side of town, Schwartz approaches Tsukuyomi to ask about her power. Just then, Another Agito appears and Schwartz wants Tsukuyomi to use her power for him to see.
Meanwhile, the clone Another Agitos are attacking G3s. Sougo, Geiz and Woz henshin to Zi-O II, Geiz Revive and Futureing Quiz, respectively. The Another Agitos again focus on the G3s.
Sougo decides it’s time for Trinity. Woz is compelled to make the proclamation, but no one cares.
Elsewhere, Tsukuyomi does her best to fight off the original Another Agito while Schwartz continues to try and get answers from her. She asks if he knows something, but Another Agito whacks her to the ground.
Just then, Shouichi arrives, henshins and takes on Another Agito.
As Sougo, Geiz and Woz are able to finish off one of the Another Agitos, the others disappear. Unbeknownst to them, they have joined the original Another Agito to fight Shouichi.
Schwartz says he created the Another Agitos to lure him out so he can take his power.
Very interesting episode! Of course, it’s another episode about a season I’ve never seen. But it was definitely very interesting still and easy to understand.
Like I’ve said for previous episodes, it must be so much fun for fans to see the actual cast from the original seasons make a return here on Zi-O. And not just one actor too. But a few. And the story actually being a continuation of the original season’s. Very nice and I’m looking forward to learning more about Agito.
But the other big development this episode of course was the beginning of delving into Tsukuyomi’s past. I honestly never thought that there may be something more to her past that wouldn’t include Geiz. But here we are. And it’s another amnesia-type of plot.
It’s always interesting to dissect Sentai or Kamen Rider opening credits because many times they can include lots of foreshadowing or outright spoilers even. Lol
This scene in the opening with Tsukuyomi and the TimeJackers always stood out to me.
It certainly suggests there’s a connection somewhere there.
I’m not sure if I’d go immediately to Tsukuyomi being a TimeJacker herself. But I would be more willing to think she’s even a little bit higher on the paygrade than Schwartz.
Now I immediately started thinking about Tsukuyomi ending up being some variation of Gaim‘s Woman of the Beginning or something like that. Where Tsukuyomi will eventually become a goddess or something or Oma Zi-O’s mother or whatever.
That would be very surprising. But as this season has really been built upon the relationships and the bond formed between Sougo, Geiz and Tsukuyomi (and now Woz), there’s definitely some interesting directions the story could go from here regarding Tsukuyomi and her true identity.
Still, Tsukuyomi having a mysterious past feels almost like something we’ve definitely seen before on Kamen Rider. But I’m going to be hopeful that the story has a good payoff in the end. *crossesfingers*
Overall, a good episode and a nice set-up for whatever will happen next week.
