Wajima apologizes to Haruto, saying he should’ve learned his lesson the last time the man had asked him to make rings. Wajima flashes back to a year ago when the man brought four stones that would become the familiar four rings Haruto uses today.
Haruto says it’s okay since the man did say lives were at stake. But Wajima notes this stone seemed different. Haruto says they must find this man then. Haruto tells Rinko about Fueki and she suggests they ask Kizaki for help.
Medusa’s found a new Gate, a little boy, and Sora sends Phantom Sylphi on the job.
Shunpei rides up on his new used bike and Kosuke marvels at it, remembering his own. They suddenly hear screams and Kosuke “borrows” the bike and rides off while Shunpei calls Haruto.
Sylphi is at the plaza and sends Ghouls at the little boy, but Kosuke uses the bike to fight them off. When the Phantom turns his attention to the boy, Haruto arrives just in time.
Kosuke takes care of the Ghouls and Sylphi retreats. The little boy runs over and asks Kosuke if he can teach him how to ride a bike.
They all go to Donut Happy where the boy, Yuzuru, tells them he must learn before he runs out of time. He turns around and sees a older girl, Akari, buying donuts. They exchange “Hello”s before she leaves.
The guys think he has a crush on her, but he explains that they used to play together when they were younger.
She had a bike which he took out for a spin even though he didn’t know how and got in an accident. While he got a couple of broken bones, he’s been avoiding her since and now that she’s moving away next week, he wants to show her that he’s grown up.
While Kosuke begins bike lessons with Yuzuru, Haruto and Rinko head over to Kizaki.
Kosuke takes Yuzuru offroad to get him more experience. He gets the hang of it after a couple of falls, but suddenly with a gust of wind, he manages to do a flip in the air. They both think it’s awesome.
They camp out for the night. Yuzuru says Kosuke reminds him of his dad who died when he was in kindergarten. Kosuke says he’s still a college student! So Yuzuru calls him “Oniichan” instead. Yuzuru is still worried about showing Akari, but Kosuke assures him that he’ll be fine.
Haruto and Rinko stay up all night trying to find a photo of the old man and Kizaki suggests they make a composite instead.
Next morning, Yuzuru calls Akari to the forest. He apologizes for the trouble he had caused and not wanting their friendship to have ended like that, wants to show her how far he’s come now.
Akari heads to the finish line and she and Kosuke watch has Yuzuru navigates the trail down. Close to the end, a huge gust of wind arrives, blowing Akari’s hat off her head as well as hurling Yuzuru back. But suddenly, the hat turns into the bike and falls right onto Akari who falls unconscious.
Kosuke goes to check on them when Sylphi shows up and tells them it is all his doing. Kosuke henshins and fights the Phantom.
Haruto’s on his own bike on his way to Kosuke and the others. But Medusa stops him on the bridge and says he will not pass. Haruto henshins and they fight.
Yuzuru crawls toward Akari and is upset that it was his fault this happened. Sylphi tries to pour salt on the wound and the purple cracks begin showing up on Yuzuru’s face.
Medusa tries hurling Haruto over the side of the bridge, but just as she’s about to knock him into the water, she is shocked to see… Mayu.
So you’ve come to die, Medusa says.
No, Mayu replies, she’s come to obliterate her.
She opens up her blazer to reveal… a Wizardriver. She puts on a ring… and henshins.
“I will defeat you with these hands. You who killed my sister!”
Episode Thoughts
Yes!!! I was definitely looking forward to Mayu’s return and eventually getting her into a Rider suit! Awesome.
I understand though that it’s just a generic suit that apparently *spoiler alert* everyone on the show will henshin into in the Wizard movie, but it is still awesome to see her a Kamen Rider.
The Gate of the Week was okay, though it looks like there’s more to his story in the next episode. But, come on, Mayu henshin! That trumps everything for me!
