Amazing Race Emmy Episode, CBS Fall Schedule, and More News

The Envelope, awards central from the LA Times has learned The Amazing Race has submitted Episode 16.05: I Think We’re Fighting the Germans Right?, the France leg that included the World War I re-enactment.  Seems like another easy TAR win this year for its record eight Emmy.

Meanwhile, the broadcast nets announced their fall schedules last week and contrary to some reports, The Amazing Race WILL air in the Fall in its regular Sunday, 8pm timeslot.  Still no word on a season 18 pick-up, which honestly, should be guaranteed right now.

Especially judging from the season rankings for the TAR.
The final ratings for the 2009-2010 season are in and The Amazing Race finished very well.  In adults 18-49, The Amazing Race 15 ranked 25th with a 3.7 rating and 9 share, while The Amazing Race 16 finished 28th with a 3.5 and 9 share.  In total viewers, The Amazing Race 15 finished 24th with 11.9 million viwers while The Amazing Race 16 finished 26th with 11.2 million viewers.  That is out of 124 ranked programs from the five broadcast networks.

Long time TAR fan Sarah Jessica Parker expressed her love for the show in an interview with Zap2it.com calling the most recent season the “perfect season” and as good as the first two.

Also, be sure to wish our own Phil Keoghan a Happy Birthday this Monday, May 31st!
