The Amazing Race Shut Out of Creative Arts Emmys

The Amazing Race
was shut out of the Creative Arts Emmys which were handed out last Saturday.

The Amazing Race was nominated in five categories.  Last year, the series won their 3rd and 2nd Emmys for Outstanding Picture Editing and Outstanding Cinematography for Nonfiction Programming respectively. 

The awards for which TAR was nominated for went to the nonfiction documentaries The War (Outstanding ound Editing for Nonfiction Programming), Autism: The Musical (Outstanding Picture Editing for Nonfiction Programming), This American Life (Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming), the special American Masters – Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends (Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming), and nonfiction series Deadliest Catch (Outstanding Cinematography for Nonfiction Programming).

The Amazing Race is still favored to win their 6th straight Emmy for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, which would be a new Emmy record for a series.  The main awards show will air live on Sunday, September 22 on ABC.
