Recap: The Amazing Race 7, Episode 8 – “There’s like donkey crap all over the place.”

EPISODE SEVEN-EIGHT: MOW’EM DOWN LIKE GRASS

All right… we have another double leg… yay! People may complain about the To be continued at the end of the episode but I love it… It makes the episode more exciting and eliminates a non-elimination leg… which in turn keeps Meredith & Gretchen from losing everything AGAIN… I was so worried becuase I was expecting this to be a non-elim… so YAY FOR MEREDITH & GRETCHEN! lol how sweet was it when everyone was applauding them and asking for their autogrpahs… forget RombuhM&G are the celebrities!! And them shopping for a backpack… lol “Do you give a senior citizen’s discount?” “No” lol, how mean of the guy…lol

Speaking of Rob & Amber… they were not as annoying this week… and it was so great seeing them and Phil’s little smirk when he said that the leg wasn’t over yet… they are definitely not going to win… The ticket agent was soo funny when Rob told her not to help the other teams… her facial expression was like “you’re such an a$$hole”… lol

I’m starting to like Lynn & Alex more now… Uchenna & Joyce too… and I’m starting to like Ron & Kelly less… However I didn’t really like how Lynn & Alex were helping M&G just so they could easily beat them in the final…

I don’t think a YIELD would have mattered in this leg… I can’t believe they had another “luck” ROAD BLOCK… at least there wasn’t another Lena & Kristy disaster, althought it almost was like that with Gretchen… Another shade of TAR6 was the DETOUR where they had to deliver tea… it was like the famous “Brahaus Spandau” DETOUR where Gus got drunk… lol…

TAR has been to India on every season but two I think (TAR6 and another one)… how about going back to the Philippines? I doubt they’re going to bring the stupid families to the PI… stupid Family edition…

Anyway… GO MEREDITH & GRETCHEN!!!

QUOTES FROM EPISODE 7-8

The Amazing Race 7 Recap Episode 7 + Others

THE AMAZING RACE: EPISODE SEVEN-SEVEN THEY SAVED THE EYEBALL
Nothing special about this episode… TAR6’s recap was a lot better… more “never before seen footage”… this episode just made me hate Rob & Amber and Ray & Deana even more and made me love Meredith & Gretchen even more… They are definitely the new Teri & Ian, except older…

AMERICAN IDOL
My ears are still recovering from Fantasia’s screaming… or what some people call “singing”

LOST
So they killed off Boone? Hmm… I thought someone was going to die on the season finale? Maybe he’s not dead? Maybe he’s the mastermind behind the whole crash… who knows…

ALIAS
Hmm… So Vaughn is looking for his father? Okay… but I can’t believe it filled a whole episode… how boring, even the weekly “Sydney is danger” scenes were boring… Jack is awesome… Victor Garber is a great actor… remember when he and Whoopi Goldberg played Paolo Montalban’s parents in Cinderella? That was funny, but nice effort at a multi-culture cast…

LETTERMAN’S ‘SOAP OPERA CLIP OF THE NIGHT’
How hilarious was seeing Precious on Letterman last night… People must have been like “What the hell is this?” lol… it was the scene where they were aring out the house becuase Beth opened the gas line to kill Sheridan for the 50th time… and it was freezing in the house so Precious comes out in Beth’s fur coat holding a bottle of gin, jumps on the table and drinks a whole glass of gin… the audience was cracking up… Letterman, before the clip, was like “this is the reason TiVo was invented”… this show is “money in the bank” and then after he was like “If more than one person is watching this show, its the end of civilization as we know it.” lol… I think he’s done “Soap Opera Clip of the Night” a few times now, and all times were of Precious and Passions… so basically Letterman is advertising it for free on CBS… lol… People will probably watch to be like “What in the hell is this crap?” lol

Recap: The Amazing Race 7, Episode 6 – “Here’s a goat with nice big teets”

EPISODE SEVEN-SIX: HOUSTON, WE HAVE AN ELEPHANT

Okay… where do I begin… Meredith & Gretchen… man, I was yelling at the TV when they missed the clue… but they really are the “AMAZING comback kids” like TAR3’s Teri & Ian… what was with all the newfound hate for M & GLynn & Alex said they were stupid… geez, bordering on Ray territory there…
But they’re still in the RACE… Let’s go into the FINAL FOUR!!!!

Well, the teams are thinking about non-elims now, they know how to predict a possible non-elim leg… but they were wrong this time… next week is probably non-elim, so another week of Romber probably…

Brian & Greg were funny… but I’m not really sad that they were PHILiminated… we don’t need another “alpha-male” team to win the RACE… Uchenna & Joyce are okay… geez, those little things, Phil was just trying to get something going with making teams go back and complete the ROAD BLOCKs… lol, but it didn’t happen… Ron & Kelly… what was Kelly listening to? How did Ron saying “Just chill out” turn into “Shut the f*** up” ? lol anyway… they’re okay…

How cool was it for them to be able to drive through the African Bush and see all those animals… Rob made a pretty dumb comment… He thought the giraffe’s tail was a monkey… geez… but anyway, it was pretty cool for them to do that…

All the tasks seem to be physical this time around, not thinking tasks… I liked those… oh well, the season is slowly getting better… once Romber is gone, the show will take off

TOMORROW… special recap episode with BONUS FOOTAGE, TAR’s deleted scenes… which are pretty funny most of the time… lol…

QUOTES FROM EPISODE 7-6
Lynn: “Thank you cow cow”
Alex: “How now brown cow?”
Lynn: “Thank you Mr. Cow”

Gretchen: “Here’s a goat with nice big teets”

Lynn: “Hello goats”

Gretchen: “Don’t spill a drop or I’ll kill you”

Alex: “How many gay guys does it take to milk a goat”

Lynn: “Let’s see if we can destroy this [car]”

Lynn: “Will you put on underwear as a headband”

Phil: “The fashion police is going to arrest you in Africa?”

Recap: The Amazing Race 7, Episode 5 – “I’ve been wanting a facelift for a long time.”

EPISODE SEVEN-FIVE: I’VE BEEN WANTING A FACE LIFT FOR A LONG TIME

Okay… lots to talk about… first of all… Meredith & Gretchen are FREAKIN’ AWESOME… they came back from THE CRUELEST twist yet on THE AMAZING RACE and managed to stay in the RACE with absolutely nothing but their passports… Gretchen is amazing for continuing after that fall, that was freakin’ scary, I was getting chills when Meredith was calling for help… These two are now one of my favorite teams ever because they have overcome so much and are the oldest team to make it this far…

About that new non-elimination twist… I was pretty much in shock at first… I was expecting an extra hour at the pit stop or something, but they go and pull this… I actually thought Phil said that they had to take their clothes off too… but this is just too much… its overkill… And I just noticed today that they have HUGE backpacks this season… usually they just have North Face stuff and now they’re carrying a freakin’ tent everywhere…

Rob & Amber… just when I thought they were actually likable, they go and insult Meredith & Gretchen‘s integrity by saying that he pushed her intentionally, and he doesn’t even spare 50 cents… Later, he doesn’t even stick his head out the window to ask if the Brothers are okay after their car flips over… what the freakin’ hell?… FRACK YOU Rob you a$$hole… ugh, these two are just fame whores… plain and simple…

Now on to another a$$hole… Ray is the worst contestant ever in the history of the Race… he doesn’t help out Meredith & Gretchen and outright lies to them… he wants to put tacks on the road to make them have a flat… he probably wishes they were dead… he is even more degrading to Deana than Jonathan was to Victoria… he is just scum… they did not deserve those two cars… WHAT THE HELL??? CARS??? When did TAR start randomly giving out $50,000 and a new car??? They didn’t even give Lynn & Alex or Ron & Kelly a prize for being first…. FRACK YOU Ray you are an even bigger a$$hole

Brian & Greg… the second scary moment of the night, that was really scary… this was the most dangerous episode of the show ever… its great that their cameraman was okay… and it was even better that they beat the a$$hole and Deana

Happy that Ron & Kelly are first… they’re pretty cool… Uchenna & Joyce are okay too… but did I miss the part when they said they were having problems in their marriage? I thought that they just couldn’t have a baby?

It was nice to see them help a school… or Day Care since it said “Creche” on the sign… or orphanage, I don’t know, but it was still sweet…

So far this was the best episode of the season, but with all the coldness and unbelievable unlikability of many teams, its just impossible to fully enjoy this season… I really do not know what to think… is TAR going down the drain? Are they accelerating the show’s decline?

Please, please get Romber off the Race and maybe I’ll start to enjoy it…

Recap: The Amazing Race 7, Episode 4 – You Are Such a Gaucho

EPISODE SEVEN-FOUR: YOU ARE SUCH A GAUCHO

Ray is an a$$hole… at least Jonathan was nice sometimes (he gave the kids candy) and he’s randomness was amusing (“You and me… SUPERHEROES!”)… ugh, Ray is just mean… and weird looking, not to mention his whining wife/girlfriend, whatever she is…

SO MUCH QUITTING!! I can’t take it… CBS needs to stop pimping Rob & Amber… I can’t have them taking credit to bring the show its best ratings ever… and I don’t see how since TAR7 isn’t turning out to be the “Best Race ever” as Phil put it…

OMG… Gretchen‘s face is covered in blood next week… and the brothers’ truck flips over… maybe this season can saved… especially if two teams go home next… 😉 (I can think you can tell from up there ^^)
Gretchen and Meredith are hilarious though, especially with their innuendo/jokes… lol

I like Ron & Kelly but they really are boring (Kris & Jon at least had some personality)… Uchenna & Joyce are okay… Who else is on this race? Oh yeah… THe Brothers are okay… Lynn & Alex are okay, but borderline annoying…

Not one team really stands out except for ones that are unlikable…

The pre-scheduled flights are getting to be stupid… GET THEM OUT OF SOUTH AMERICA NOW!! The Road Block was stupid… how unimaginative… and the Detour? Ugh… there really aren’t any skill tasks in TAR anymore…

I just don’t know anymore… I still love TAR, but this season has become my least favorite by a mile… and TAR8 isn’t going to be any better with the 8 year old brats running around… I am still wondering how they are going to pull off the stupid Family Edition… I have been completely disappointed with TAR7… I don’t what Phil was smoking when he said this was the best Race ever… hopefully next week’s episode will signal a recovery but I doubt it…

The Amazing Race 7 Quitters Aftermath + Block 2 Calculus

THE AMAZING RACE: THE QUITTERS AFTERMATH CBS
I can’t believe how much people are defending Romber‘s taking advantage of a rule. And I just got even more pissed off to remember that TAR1’s Nancy & Emily were slapped with a 24 hour penalty for not doing the Road Block…
Oh man, now THAT was great television, Team Guido beat Nancy & Emily to the Fast Forward, but end up being almost 24 hours behind the other teams… Nancy & Emily would’ve ran for the million if they had just done the Road Block…

AMERICAN DREAMS NBC
Man… Patty is getting a lot of action, how many potential boyfriends has she had now? I didn’t think about Jack possibly going to jail for the bribes, but of course he and Helen overcome another obstacle… I guess they are a fairy tale…
Meg, once again being stupid and naive… following those hippies? and then wanting to follow Paris Hilton who is probably one of the most untalented people ever… what the hell was that? she just stood there, squinted, and attempted a smile… I don’t see anything to like about her at all…
Anyway, back to American Dreams, JJ’s heading to NASA… that is so cool… and it was pretty nice seeing him coach.
And they went and did it, they completely forget/ignore Sam/Meg other than the recap at the beginning of the episode… ugh I knew it was going to happen…

ALIAS ABC
Nice to see some Jack/Sydney bonding… I still didn’t get what was going on though… I noticed Mr. Franco Kelly from DAYS OF OUR LIVES guest starring as the new villain of the week… Ugh, I’m really haiting this self-containted episodes business…

AMERICAN IDOL PERFORMANCES & RESULTS FOX
After Tuesday, Nadia shot up as one of the best singers, for me, in this screeching competition. I was sad to see Lindsey go, I thought she had a good voice, if she picked a good song… Mikalah needs to go very soon… then the Rockers and Scott and Anwar.

SURVIVOR: PALAU CBS
I only watched a little bit, I didn’t know what was going on with Tribal Council… it seems like everyone’s hooking up this season, I think its the choice of wardrobe, all they wear is underwear all day…

BLOCK 2: CALCULUS SHCP
Great class today… funny stuff being discussed in our little group of 9 + Murph… the backpack hiding reminded of last year’s Calculus class (which I enjoyed a lot more than this year’s class) when Mike and Pat put Albert’s backpack out in the hall and he didn’t even know about until after class… one of the many funny moments in that class last year…It was funny how Murph was clueless about the shirts and sweaters too…

Recap: The Amazing Race 7, Episode 3 – Do You Need Some Mouth-to-Mouth Resuscitation?

EPISODE SEVEN-THREE: DO YOU NEED MOUTH-TO-MOUTH RESUCITATION?

I take it back, I was about to say that this is more like the traditional TAR but I changed my mind after thinking about it… we got a first tonight… the first time that THREE teams chose to quit a task… also the first time that THE AMAZING RACE has seen a manipulation so underhanded and immoral as that persuasion done by Rob and Amber… I just can’t stand teams who quit anything, I lose respect for them… and probably Meredith would’ve forged ahead eating if it wasn’t for the two other teams telling him and Gretchen to quit.

What Rob & Amber was a knife in the back that they twisted… They intentionally went out to sabotage other teams, and that has never been done before on RACE because all of the teams ever on the RACE (even Jonathan & Victoria and Colin & Christie) had morals and would never do crap like that… this isn’t Survivor! I guess they do it to make up for their lack of actual endurance, intelligence, strength, will power…

I think that little stunt cheapened THE AMAZING RACE… what’s the point of doing any task now… you can just quit and take a penalty… it is also unfair how three teams who didn’t complete the Road Block stay in the Race and a team that actually finished (Debbie & Bianca) was eliminated… that is very unfair…

Ray & Deana are seriously starting to get introlerable… He is a control freak and she is a freakin’ pushover and whiner…
Meredith & Gretchen… I like them, they were hilarious up until the Road Block… even though the other teams persuaded them to quit, I just can’t stand people who quit…
Debbie & Bianca… not too sad that they’re gone… Brian & Greg are okay… We finally got to see and hear more from Ron & Kelly… still rooting for them… Uchenna & Joyce are cool too… Lynn & Alex can be sooo annoying at times, but other times very funny…

I think the YIELDs should be on every leg or only on the later legs… and bring back the FAST FORWARD every leg or at least on legs with an elimination… I would’ve been so pissed if this had been a non-elim after all that quitting and getting lost… luck should be only 5% of the reason to win the RACE

That ROAD BLOCK was definitely one of the hardest, but very unoriginal… the producers haven’t been coming up with the memorable tasks like the first couple of seasons… they’re running out of ideas!

Once again, the editing was perfect… first Debbie & Bianca‘s witchcraft-like spell to have Susan & Patrick get lost… and then Susan eating a power bar and saying it tasted like meat… lol…
