The Amazing Race Goes for 7th Emmy as Phil Goes For 1st as Host

The Amazing Race will go for a possibly record-setting seven-peat as the series is nominated once again for the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program Emmy.  TAR has won all six Emms in the category since it was introduced in 2003.

And after last year’s snub, host Phil Keoghan joins the ranks for his first nomination for Outstanding Host for Reality or Reality-Competition Program.

TAR has a total of seven nominations this year, the most it’s ever had.  The categories TAR has been nominated for this year are:
Outstanding Reality-Competition Program
Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program – Phil Keoghan
Outstanding Cinematography for Reality Programming
Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming
Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming
Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming (Single or Multi-Camera)
Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming

TAR submitted season 14’s season premiere, “Don’t Let a Cheese Hit Me” for consideration in all categories.
